Anthony David Gonzalez (born August 25 in 1970) is an American former football tight end. Gonzalez played in the National Football League from 1997 until 2003. The NFL's most efficient tight ends as well as third-best overall receiver, he has been recognized as the NFL's leading tight end in terms of yards received, receptions and receptions, among other things.
Former Kansas City Chiefs and Atlanta Falcons All-Pro tight end Tony Gonzalez currently serves as a FOX Sports studio analyst. Gonzalez is a regular associated with FOX NFL KICKOFF for the last year, hosts host of the program. The show is broadcast every Sunday, at 11:00 AM ET, before FOX NFL Sunday.
On the 15th of March, 2013, Gonzalez agreed to re-sign with the Falcons for a 2-year, $14 million contract despite the fact that he had said Gonzalez would retire at the end of 2013. Randy Moss' retirement meant that Gonzalez was the NFL's leader of receiving yards in the final time in his career.
